If you order a child out of a catalog

I highly recommend choosing this feature, one of my very favorite qualities in Skyler:

Since she was 2 years old, she always makes it to the bathroom or other provided receptacle when she is going to throw up.

Poor thing. She (with me along side her) was up all night.

She caught up with a HUGE nap by the new wood pellet stove* today. Toasty.

* That is the stove we ordered in June and were promised in September, October, November and December. It was installed last week. Phew!

Hi. I am Lisa's friend, Cat. I have been reading your blog for a long time now. I enjoy how you write and the way you lead your life is nice to follow along with. Reading this post, I was reminded that as a child I was rife with projectile vomits. Your post made me thing of another thing I must apologize to (and thank) my mother for. Hopefully when my husband and I have kids, we can order this feature! Happy New Year!

Hey Emilie, Poor Skyler...Poor Emilie. I too am a make to the toilet kind of mom...then call me and I will hear you. I don't know if I can ever look at the flu the same again though because over the xmas break a little girl in Ethan's class (1st grade) died from complications of the stomach flu. I's really hard to wrap your mind around it. I'm still trying.

Oh poor Skyler. The illness I hate most in the world is gastro, nothing makes me feel as dreadful. You bith have my sympathy.

Emilie can you belive I have been reading your blog through four seasons now? It was snowing when I first stumbled upon your gorgeous family, it was the faces of Skyler and Reed peering out from the window, towards the snow that first captivated me. Then it was your beautiful writing that kept me coming back.

Not quite a year yet but the snow is back, just as it was when I first 'found' you all. :)
