Mama's Day

When I came home from the race on Saturday night, I saw this sign on the dining room door.

In the morning, I was allowed to look inside. Check out what time Skyler and Reed wanted to wish me a happy mother's day.

Look! Plants for the garden, drawings, wine, and uh, maple syrup (?!).

The beautiful gift that Skyler made at school.
The flashy purse-shaped card says: Happy Mother's Love Skyler Day
It's perfect.

I didn't know until yesterday how badly I wanted a blue box covered in buttons.

Happy mother's day to all my mommy friends, to my sister Liesel who is my mommy-mentor (at least once a day, I wonder "how would Liesel handle this?"), and to my very own super-smart, pretty, capable, active, strong, fashionable mommy. I am a lucky, lucky girl.

I am laughing at the thought that you never realized you wanted a blue, button-covered, box so badly before!

I left my camera at my Mommy's house this weekend so I need to wait to post Mother's Day pics. Drat!

I love the purse card. so stylish. Don't you just love their handwriting at this age? so cute. i hope you reap lots of tomotoes from your plants. I planted a garden for the first time ever this week and am hoping for just a little bit of Grandaddy's green thumb. Heck, I'd settle for a pinky's worth.
