Fresh water days

We went to Fields Pond yesterday and pretty much had the place to ourselves.  For about 4 hours, the kids turned into just heads in the water.

The weather was perfect.  Here's Liesel enjoying the water.  They don't live near many swimmable lakes in Utah, so they relish in these fresh water days.  When we walked out to the beach, Cameron was psyched to see this great little beach hidden behind some trees and said:  "Emilie, how do you do it?"  Cracked me up.

My mom said that she's never seen Reed so happy and agreeable for such a long stretch of time.  True!  Put the boy in the water, and he's a good, good boy.

This morning Liesel and I ran 8.9 miles in Orono, the longest I've run since the marathon.  We walked up one steep (and hot) hill, but otherwise, it was a really great run.

I recovered with this smoothie (I made a big batch to share with everyone):
Ice, skim milk, 2 bananas, 1 cup frozen blueberries and 2 scoops of Chocolate Amazing Green mix.

We're off to another lake for the day!

I'd love a lake-day, and your blogging about Maine in the summer has convinced me to go on a summer trip to Maine ASAP :>
