It's day 5 of the Clean Food Challenge, and I'm in a great routine now and feeling really good again today. We'll see if it's harder to stay on plan while at home on the weekend, but my week at work went very well. I liked having my friend Susan who teaches in the classroom next door to me doing the CFC too. We would laugh at each other filling up our water bottles in the hall and slipping into the bathroom all day.
I'm going to keep this short and then off to bed.
Breakfast: Another bowl of oatmeal with a scoop of Maine blueberries and some maple syrup, cup of coffee with agave.
On the way to work: Green smoothie: 2 cups spinach, frozen mango and blueberries, some almond milk.
Snack: dried apricots and almonds.
Lunch: leftover tempeh/ veggie stirfry and brown rice. banana.
Dinner: (First, I ordered and picked up pizzas for Sam and the kids, and then sat with them while they ate while my brown rice cooked. It wasn't as hard as it sounds, but I was eyeing those cheesy slices!)
I was craving Mexican, so...
Brown rice, Annie's organic refried black beans, fresh salsa, and a whole avocado.
Another terrible, dark photo for you.
Dessert: banana with almond butter and agave. And probably 4 bottles of water today, but I lost count.
I'm starting to think about Monday, when I'll be technically done with this, and what I'm going to eat. I'm feeling like I hoped I would feel, that I learned a lot and don't plan on throwing all of these rules away and driving straight to the donut shop, or more likely, the bagel shop. I'm feeling really good about how I've been eating and would like to keep doing a lot of the same things. We'll see!
