what it's all about.

Yesterday I finished a super-packed last day of school with an all-school Poetry Out Loud contest that was wonderful and inspiring and exhausting.  Before I picked up Reed from school, I zipped to the gym to run-off the tension I had built up all day, and then when I left the gym I was all tingly and relaxed, and it was snowing, snowing, snowing and feeling like Christmas should feel.

I started my vacation by snuggling into bed at 8:00 pm with Skyler and watching Charlie Brown Christmas together and both falling asleep before 9.
Woke up to a fresh pretty snow.  Good Morning, Christmas Vacation!

From here on out, it's all about the good stuff.  No more errands!  There is cooking ahead of me, but I'm just so happy and excited by these sweet days of Christmas and sharing all of the goodness with my family and my friends.

The following photos represent all of my favorite parts of the season.
Orange-Cranberry-White Chocolate Biscotti before it was packaged and tied with ribbons.

Sugar Cookie Sandwiches filled with raspberry jam and then dipped in dark chocolate.

Blueberry Banana Muffins

Triple Chocolate Cookies.

Plated up for friends and neighbors.
Out for delivery!

Enormous snowman by Sam and Skyler.
 Presents all lined up.

I ordered these coffee mugs for my friends with the photo of the 6 of us from the MDI Marathon.

Great minds think alike.

A common scene around the house during vacation time.
Merry Christmas to all of you!
