Smuggler's Notch Family Resort. The workshop director invited me and Sam and the kids to spend the weekend in a condo at the resort and enjoy all of the amazing things to do: 8 pools, 4 water slides, hiking in the Green Mountains, lake swimming, canoeing, and lots of exploring. It didn't take me long to say: "um, yeah!" This is not the kind of family vacation we could afford on our own, and we are honored to be able to go.
I will spend Saturday morning meeting other bloggers and hearing speakers at the workshop, and the rest of the weekend we are invited to just enjoy the resort. I'll be cruising down these water slides with some giggling children all day long.
I made up some promotional materials to pass around. The ones for the blog are postcard sized.
The public relations folks sent us a video of all the things to do at Smuggs, and the kids have watched it over and over. Reed keeps saying: "How many days until Vreemont?"
We leave Friday! (and ever since I typed the title of this post, I've had the "Be our Guest" song from Beauty in the Beast stuck in my head. Sorry if you do too.)
