Some overheards... (and canvas photo winner!)

Some recent Reedisms:

While lying in bed with me and brushing my hair with his hand: 
"Mom, hold still.  This will only hurt for a second."

Reed's recent and frequent exclamation.  (Um...no idea where he got this one):
"Oh, for the love of God!"

After I served him chicken and broccoli for dinner:
"Mom, this is just delightful."

Proud Healthy Mommy Moment:
At the health food store, Reed was overheard saying:
"If I am a good boy helping you make carrot juice, will you let me have some dried mango?"

This is on par with times at the grocery store when he yells out:  "Mom!  We need more kale!"

Be still my heart.

I gave Reed my old cell phone, the one that went through the wash and never worked again.  He carries it around in his pocket, and when he loses it, he says:  "Mom?  Where's my cell?"

The kid cracks me up.

My first week of marathon training has gone very well, and tomorrow I have 8 miles on the schedule.  Looking forward to the post-winter-run buzz.  Midterms are also over, my grades are all done and entered, so all I have to do this weekend is, oh, you know, plan for the brand new semester and write an essay for my grad class.  In other words, we're ordering pizza tonight and my feet are officially up.
