San Francisco, day 2

Holy Sensory Overload of San Francisco Goodness.

Here is a great day in pictures:

Santa Cruz.  75 degrees. 

watching the surfers and waiting for our friends.
It was harder to surf here than it was in Mexico, in part because the waves were really spread out so there was a lot of waiting, and in part because the board I was using and the arc of the waves were different.  Just being out there again, in the water, and seeing the sea otters slapping their bellies, was so incredible and felt so good from head to toe.  Salt water, sunshine, seaweed, the pull of the waves, warm air, and my cool big brother who never left my side. 

2 hours later, the sun was sinking.

and then oh my god, the moment I've been waiting for.  BURRITO.  They don't make burritos anywhere like they do in San Francisco.  They really don't.  It had become mythical in my memory, and it was all I had hoped for, a tightly-wrapped bundle of black beans, rice, guac, and the freshest best salsa ever. 
salt water crazy hair and the familiar weight of that tin foil warmth.

One more day and I'm coming home tonight.  I miss my babies.

Looks like a such a wonderful place. I'm impressed with your November surfing. I was impressed with your Mexico spring-time surfing!
