I find it very user friendly and it didn't take me long to figure it out. It syncs your videos from iPhoto and then you basically just drag clips into the movie project, add music and titles, and that's it. It takes a while of messing with it to learn how to time the music right and how to cut out parts of the clip or how to do slow-motion, etc., but you can totally do it. It's fun to play with.
